DESIGN SERVICES

There are several steps to complete before diving into a design process (you can download our custom made roadmap here).

After we have completed the research phase, once your needs and options review and your design brief have been created (AK SEEDS), we are ready to start the design process.

This is when we survey your property, take all the necessary data and measurements from the site and your home.

We start designing your dream project calling on consultants when we see it fit.

Depending on the size and complexity of the project at hand, we present you with a series of drafts for you to review, each with a deeper level of definition.

Once all details are in place, materials are selected and approved, we start preparing the construction documents. Following this detailed process allows us to avoid do-overs and unreachable cost proposals.

SEEDS stands for: SEnse/Education/Discovery/Summary
The 3 basic stepping stones we capture before applying our problem solving expertise at the start of any project:

WHAT IS AK-SEEDS?

For us making the emotional connection with our customer is just one of a stepping stone. The objective is to get a sense of the needs, wants, wishes and expectations that move you into this process.

sENSE

Doing some research educates us in the guidelines and boundaries within which the project will be optimized, budget friendly and feasible.

EDUCATION

Design is a discovery process on its own. A great design applies sense and research laying the groundwork and allocating the resources to discover the best possible outcomes, including your ROI.
Because your property is a very valuable asset, and it should stay that way.

DISCOVERY

SUMMARY

Is the result of our search and a guide to what your project may be. Summary and its contents may vary according to the package of your choice. See below for our Feasibility, Possibility and Nirvana packages.
